School Groups

Every spring we welcome a number of schools to Onas in the spring who visit for 1-3 days and do all sorts of fun activities with their students! Arrival for groups is typically around 9:30 am on the first day with a 3 pm departure on the last day. If you are interested in working a school group, please send Dex an email at [email protected].

Spring Training Opportunities

If you would like to attend any of these trainings, please email Dex ([email protected]).

Thursday, June 13 – Friday, June 14: Justice Activity Training – Training starts in the morning and goes all day, but you can arrive Wednesday night if necessary. We will wrap up in the late afternoon on Friday.

Monday, June 17 – Tuesday, June 18: High Ropes Training – Training starts in the morning and goes all day, but you can arrive Sunday night if necessary.

Monday, June 17 – Tuesday, June 18: Wilderness First Aid – Training starts in the morning and goes all day, but you can arrive Sunday night if necessary.

Thursday, June 20 – Friday, June 21: Lifeguard Training – Training starts in the morning and goes all day, but you can arrive Wednesday night if necessary.

 

Summer Staff Arrival and Departure- Dates and Times

Orientation Arrival Dates

Arrival for summer staff to Orientation is at 7pm each day. You can find the arrival days for Orientation arrival dates below:

Saturday, June 22 – Senior Staff and CIT Directors arrive.

Sunday, June 23 – Senior Counselors and Counselors arrive.

Monday, June 24 – Junior Counselors and Returning CITs arrive.

Tuesday, June 25 – New CITs arrive.

Saturday, June 29 – All staff not working 1st Session depart between 2-3pm.

 

Session Arrival Dates

Arrival times for summer staff to each session differs based on the day. You can find the arrival days and times for sessions below:

Saturday, July 6 – Staff arrive for 2nd Session at Noon.

Saturday, July 20 – Staff arrive for 3rd Session at 5pm.

Saturday, August 3 – Staff arrive for 4th Session at Noon.

 

Session Departure Dates

Staff not working a given session depart by 2pm on the day their previous session ends.

CITs working 4th Session depart Friday, August 16th at 5pm.

Older Staff working 4th Session depart Saturday, August 17th at 11am.
