Camp Onas Strategic Plan

2026-2030

Camp Onas enters 2026 with deep gratitude for its history and a commitment to its future. Developed by the Board of Directors in partnership with staff, and guided by our mission, vision, and values, this Strategic Plan offers a clear framework for direction and decision-making through 2030.

The priorities outlined here reflect what has long made Camp Onas distinctive: strong community, respect for people and the Earth, and thoughtful stewardship of the resources entrusted to our care. They grow out of the relationships, values, and practices that shape our community and guide our work.

We share this plan as both a statement of commitment and an invitation—to walk with us as we steward Camp’s future together.

We are committed to growing and strengthening the Camp Onas community by:

Offering accessible, inclusive programs that increase participation across our community.

Deepening relationships with alumni, families, and friends of Onas.

Communicating clearly and thoughtfully to keep our community informed and engaged.

Expanding our Board of Directors to reflect the diversity and evolving needs of Camp Onas.

Financial Future

We are committed to securing Camp Onas’ financial future in service of our Mission by:

Stewarding our resources with care, transparency, and accountability in alignment with our Guiding Principles.

Strengthening the systems and infrastructure that support our programs and long-term stability.

Sustaining relationships with current donors while broadening our base of supporters.

Expanding support by exploring innovative, values-aligned fundraising opportunities.

Stewardship of Place & Environment

We are committed to stewarding Camp’s physical space and infrastructure to serve the long-term needs of our programs by:

Planning for the long-term use of our land and buildings to support Camp’s Mission and programs.

Building climate resilience through site planning for extreme weather, heat, and erosion.

Designing and maintaining spaces that are safe, accessible, and inclusive for all who want to participate.

Prioritizing environmentally sustainable practices in our infrastructure, operations, and programs.

Looking Ahead

This Strategic Plan is a living framework. The Board of Directors and leadership staff will regularly review progress as we continue listening, learning, and adapting—guided by our values and our commitment to our community.
