Dear Campers, Families, and Friends of the Camp Onas Community:
As we say goodbye to the last of our 2021 campers, we want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank you all for a truly unique and wonderful summer. In a year that has felt far from “normal”, this summer at Camp Onas felt especially important and needed.
Our counselors and directors alike were overjoyed to see campers back at Camp Onas: Enjoying the freedom of living outdoors, connecting with old and new friends, playing on the tire swing, swimming in the pool, running around the upper fields, and just being kids.
None of this would have been possible without the effort and vigilance of campers, staff, and families practiced by quarantining, symptom tracking, pursuing COVID-19 vaccines, and doing everything you could to keep the Onas community safe.
And, because of the care and attention everyone put into this summer, we ended up with four fantastic sessions that exceeded expectations, and felt much more “normal” than we ever anticipated.
We look forward to seeing many of you next summer, but before we think about what will come next, we’d like to take a moment to appreciate the great summer your diligence, integrity, trust, and care helped make possible — Thank you!
