Plan your visit!

Visit in Person

New campers (and those considering Onas next summer) are invited to come up for a visit, accompanied by a parent or guardian on:

  • Saturday May 22, between 2 and 4 pm or
  • Sunday, June 6, between 2 and 4 pm

Visiting camp is one of the best ways to help campers feel more confident when they arrive for their session.

Your household will take a self-guided tour at your own pace, and the directors will be available to answer questions.  We’ll talk with you about Camp life, and help fill in the blanks new campers wonder about.

If you are interested in visiting on May 22 or June 6, please RSVP here to let us know to expect you, which day, and how many will be in your party.

Please wear a face mask. And please dress for an outdoor visit by wearing layers, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and bug spray (for ticks). We recommend bringing a water bottle too; we are not using water fountains this year.

Can’t join us in person? A virtual visit is the next best thing.

Join us on Zoom for a photo tour of Onas, hear about Camp life, ask questions, and hear what other new campers are wondering about, too.

Another great way to prepare for your session is to check out our “Getting Ready for Camp” page.

COVID-19 Precautions

Regardless of Vaccination Status, every visitor will follow the 2-of-3 Protocol outlined in our COVID-19 Reduction and Mitigation Plan.

We won’t have the benefit of the pre-arrival measures we will use during the summer, so we ask everyone to be extra mindful of others and their surroundings.

Camp Onas is a community that promotes agency and self-advocacy, as well as respecting others’ personal space. Please be prepared to speak up, gently correct, and be receptive to correction during your visit.

Word to the Wise

We recommend you avoid any non-essential rest stops on your way to or from Camp Onas, especially in our immediate area. Several independent shops, gas stations, and restaurants are not following or enforcing the Pennsylvania mask mandate in Ottsville and surrounding towns, which can turn a quick stop into a stressful experience. We will have restrooms, water, and some snacks available here at Onas if you need them.
