Holly and Matt Hecht, Camp Directors
The day-to-day operations of Camp Onas are overseen by Holly and Matt Hecht, both of whom are former campers and counselors. Holly and Matt returned to Camp Onas in their director roles in 2013. Holly is the Executive Director of the organization, working closely with the Board to ensure Camp Onas is promoting its mission and planning for its future. Matt is also a Registered Nurse, and oversees the Camp Onas Infirmary when camp is in session, in addition to directing the camp program. When camp is not in session, Matt enjoys playing ping pong and reading, and works at an area hospital part-time. When camp is not in session, Holly enjoys doing ceramics/ pottery, training Mitch, the camp dog, and practicing Yoga.
Josh Laker, Assistant Director
Josh returned to Camp Onas as the year-round Assistant Director in 2010 after working as a teacher for several years. Before becoming Assistant Director, Josh held the positions of Head of the Boys Side and Senior Counselor at Camp Onas. Outside of Camp, Josh still teaches part-time, bringing education and fun into the classrooms of area schools.
Lisa Daniel, Office Manager
Lisa has managed our Camp Office since 2002. She oversees camper registration and all of our bookkeeping. In addition to her expert office management, Lisa fills another important role at Camp Onas, supervising the care and safety of Camp’s animals. When Lisa is not at Camp, she can usually be found in her own horse barn, or at area equestrian events.
Guy Jesiolowski, Maintenance Director
Guy has worked as the year-round Maintenance Director of Camp Onas since 2013. He has a wealth of experience in construction and project management, and helps keep Camp in tip-top shape, addressing maintenance concerns before they become problems. Guy has been an outdoor enthusiast his entire life, and in his free time, he enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities.
