Foodservice Manager Position
Camp Onas, located in Ottsville, PA seeks a foodservice manager to oversee camp kitchen operations for a resident-camp program. Possible live-in opportunity (housing provided) depending on hours and experience.
This is a seasonal position (dates listed below).
The Foodservice Manager will direct a support staff consisting of cooks and teenage assistants to oversee foodservice for 215 people. This position reports to the Camp Directors.
We serve three meals a day, seven days a week, as part of our resident summer camp program. Food is served either family style or buffet (no plating), with the help of cooks and 15-16 year-old assistants. Meals are composed of some pre-prepared and some fresh-made elements. The people are fun to work with, and the campers are great.
The person in this position is responsible for managing all aspects of foodservice during the camp season. This includes making scheduling arrangements with cooks, training, supervising, and coaching staff, ordering foodservice supplies and scheduling food deliveries, and ensuring kitchen operations are safe, clean, and sanitary.
The Foodservice Manager must have the ServSafe (or comparable) food safety certification.
